Dawn parade

What date do we celebrate ANZAC Day?
 25th of April

Their medals glinted under the streetlights”. What does the word       ‘glinted’ mean?                        
Glinted means shined or flash reflecting from something     

Leo gazed at the long lists of names…” What does the word ‘gazed’ mean?
Gazed means you are staring at something.

 Why do we wear poppies on ANZAC Day?
To remember those who died during WW1. Poppies grew on the battlefield where the soldiers died.

Why was the parade called the ‘Dawn parade?
Because people liked to meet at dawn also because that is when the soldiers landed at Gallipoli
