My kiwi art

The dirty problem

Strolling through the smelly park, I can see birds flying around the rubbish bins. After all, it was quiet but it was very dirty and smelly.

As I kept walking the piles of rubbish kept on getting bigger and bigger. Suddenly there was a sound coming from back where I had been walking. It was like someone was nibbling something behind the humongous trash piles. A raccoon jumped up quickly, trying to hit me in the face. I quickly slid to the side and it fell on the floor and ran away. Phew! That was close, I almost got a raccoon scratch in the face. So as I dusted myself off  I ran down the road to see why it was so quiet.

I knocked on people's doors with no answer. Since it was so quiet I decided to just pick a few bits of rubbish. I picked up about three of those disgusting bits of rubbish and stood those rubbish bins up. I then left for the day.

The very next day I saw that the roads were very clean. I then saw people outside playing and they were also cleaning up their rubbish. That day I realised A lot of people were showing up to help to clean up the mess. I felt very happy that everyone decided to clean up for the good.

ANZAC Day Recount

On ANZAC Day which was on 25th of April, my family and I played some games outside like hand ball and capture the ball/flag. That was pretty much it, but we had so much fun that we played all day. I was injured after playing a few games but I took care of it and kept on playing.

For handball we play mostly everyday but Saturday was all about capturing the flag. We played with our own rules that we had to follow. Having our own rules kind of makes it a little fun.

We separated the back yard into two parts and made one square in each side for the other team to run in and get our ball and it was the first one to return the ball to their territory wins a point but to get a point you would have to catch the ball in the other teams territory and run in you part of the backyard without getting tagged from the other team.

What did you do on ANZAC Day?

Lest we forget

Granddad said there are two types of days - Write down what they are.
Those we want to remember and those we want to forget

What did Mum do on the boys first day of school?
She polished his shoes until he can see his face on them

What did the boys coach say about their soccer team?
         That they were a family

How do YOU think the soldiers looked after each other when they were at war?
They would carry each other or have leadership and encouragement.

What did Mum burn in the kitchen to make the whole house smell like smoke?
            Stuff turkey

Who made the ANZAC biscuits for the soldiers?
            Their family or friends

How did the families find out if their sons, brothers or dads had been killed at war?
People sent telegrams to their families

The Big Trouble

Thump! He slammed his enormous, grass covered foot into the middle of the road, sending dust to all directions. All the people in the village quickly came out of the dust and started coughing very loud, It was like being in a foggy snow place. The giant who looked very scared tried to apologize but all the people heard was mean yelling they grabbed their pitchforks and torches to fear the giant away “I'm just looking for my teddy”- before he could finish they tried to chuck their torches at him.

Stop said the giant but they did not they just yelled and pushed and shoved suddenly the giant couldn’t help it but to show his anger. He growled and then silently stopped. He then ran away with a BANG!!!!! and THUMP!!!!!, as he ran away the people continued to shout with anger.

In the forest panting and huffing the giant sat down crying and crying he thought that he could find his teddy but poor old giant walking in the forest for a second he wanted to just peacefully ask him for his teddy. He heard something jiggle from the tree he looked up and saw that his teddy was in the tree hooray “i found my teddy” said the giant he shook the tree and the teddy fell. He then was never to go back to the villagers so he stayed put and played in the forest.

At home we have some games to play and outta all of the games I would pick uno and maybe five hundred the card game.

5. What is your favourite food you have been eating during lock down

I do like having ice cream when it's hot but when it's cold I like having beef noodles to warm up myself.
